In partnership with Placer County, Housing Trust Placer introduces
First Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program
On May 13, 2025, Placer County awarded Housing Trust Placer a contract to administer its First-Time Homebuyer and Workforce Housing Preservation Downpayment Assistance Programs. These programs are designed to support income-eligible households looking to purchase homes in unincorporated Placer County.
As part of this effort, Housing Trust Placer will host virtual education sessions covering:

- • How to apply for assistance
- • Pre-purchase planning
- • Accessing additional local and state housing resources
Eligible applicants must have a household income below specific Area Median Income (AMI) thresholds. Limits vary by household size and funding source, as shown below.
